So. The first official BLOG post. I’ll try to make the story short. About the 14th of February - Lin started complaining about some … upper body discomfort… It was bearable - but unpleasant.
We rode that out for a few days - and come about the 18th of February - she (unbeknownst to me) took a pregnancy test. It’s been 3 years since we decided to have kids, and in that time haven’t had a single - uh oh moment. After the first 18 months, 6 months of ‘fertility assistance’ with no change. Then - Paul got blown up. Granted - that’s a whole other story.
2 years of consistent attempts, then Paul blows up, and we get pregnant. OK.
So - we do another test, positive, but it was slow. Wait a few more days… another test… Yep… that one is positive too. OK. I think this is real.
Fast forward - it’s now week 6 in the gestation cycle. Lin is sore, sleeping poorly, and having random moments of nausea. Please - no morning sickness… She can handle it - but I’m a sympathetic puker.
Next Friday - March 10th, is Ultrasound 1. If all goes well - we’ll be a properly implanted (uterine) pregnancy - and can start getting excited. (Ok… bullshit… I’m excited. I even read online “Daddy” blogs…)

Congrats to the Scratchleys! Looking forward to “Cigar Day”!
