Who’s your daddy?

May 30, 2006

Button Down – photo by Dad. I’m sitting here – getting some work done, and it hits me. I’m a parent. A grown up. I don’t feel like one, and don’t look like one. But I apparently, I am one. That strange little black and white photo from the “Baby” post isn’t just a photo, [...]

Baby!

May 25, 2006

IMGP0447.JPG Originally uploaded by ‘Scratch’. Tentatively named Eric – this is the first image of our little bundle of (yeech) joy. Yeah. I hate those saccharine sweet terms too. This is the baby – currently named “Skeletor”. We’re amazed and dazed – utterly blown away and nerve racked. We were 100% certain that we were [...]

I am Canadian.

May 25, 2006

This just gave me chills. Jesus I love this country. http://www.bluemile.ca/video8.htm 20,000 Hockey fans drowning out Paul Lorieau (Edmonton’s Anthem singer) to the point where he allowed them to carry our anthem without him. Real Canadian pride. That’s good stuff.

Me blog. You read. Zog Cook.

May 24, 2006

It’s open country out here on the internet-o-web-o-sphere-a-tron. When there is a drought of blog material (as there has been in my world) I read other blogs. But heres the thing… I’m not lacking in things to blog about. I’m lacking in the moments to write them. I’m lagging behind in my duty to report [...]

May 16th, Ready to meet the Alien?

May 16, 2006

I now feel like my belly is growing by the day. Every time I catch myself in the mirror, especially after a shower I start to think: Whoa. This is strange, because being only 4 months along, some other people aren’t even showing yet. I’m running out of clothes that fit rapidly, and even other [...]

Her’s to Hockey

May 11, 2006

So I’m not a huge hockey fan, but I think it’s a great thing when the Edmonton Oiler’s win, especially in the playoffs. It’s good for the morale of the city, it’s good for city business owners (merchandise, alcohol, bars, etc.), and it’s good for the Franchise owners, who have invested a lot of money [...]

Estrogen-ical Terror Writes:

May 10, 2006

(Post note: Since she hasn’t asked how to do this on her own – I get to make up her name when I post these.. ) So we finally found out who sent me my tummy oil and wonderfully smelly (but not too smelly) creams for my expanding belly. None other than our dear friends [...]

Edmonton Cache Machine

May 10, 2006

Edmonton_Caches_CompleteOriginally uploaded by ‘Scratch’. Ok. So – Lin and I have gone great-guns in the last 4 months on the caches, jumping from 25 to 92. They’ve all been “Real” caches too – not the sissy ‘Virtual’ caches or the mind numbing brass caps (of which I am still skunked – grrr.) Found a neat [...]

RED Friday

May 2, 2006

Via Email: RED FRIDAY… some food for thought… Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Canadians who support our troops used to be called the “silent majority”. We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God (or at least a higher power), country and [...]
