Me blog. You read. Zog Cook.

Posted on Wednesday 24 May 2006

It’s open country out here on the internet-o-web-o-sphere-a-tron. When there is a drought of blog material (as there has been in my world) I read other blogs. But heres the thing… I’m not lacking in things to blog about. I’m lacking in the moments to write them. I’m lagging behind in my duty to report all that is good and wonderful - because I’m worrying about it! Isn’t that a bag of “What the F***!”

So. Here it is. My top 10 list of cool stuff:

1. Lins belly. (It’s like someone sewed a softball in there - right above the belly button. Hard like rock.) Just watch - my kid is going to be born with little finger poke marks from me going “poke-poke… cool.. poke poke“.

2. Deet. It’s Alberta man. Just use it. Tupperware hunting in the woods without it just wouldn’t be the same.

3. Hockey. Did you watch EDM vs. ANA Game 3? HELLO? That will restore your faith in the NHL Baby.

4. Mullets. If ever there was a constant in the universe - it was the mullet. From Victorian England, to my buddy Jeff’s apartment - the Mullet lives man.

5. Dead dinosaurs. Shut up. I drive an SUV. We keep finding these in Alberta, and it makes me happy. I will NOT drive a french fry grease powered volkswagen. EVER… Sure - I’ll perhaps drive a more fuel efficient SUV someday… but not a hybrid. (Unless the HY is from HYdrogen…)

6. Propane. It makes my bar-b-que go “hisssssssssssssizzzzzlessssssss” when there is a burger on it. Or perhaps a nice slab of salmon or trout…

7. Mama-mio pregnanty girl stuff. My wife smells nice. Even when she’s mean to me. (Snicker)

8. Recordable CDs. Why? 3 words. Rick James Bitch. Yeah - it’s a cultural reference that the under 30’s know. I’m on the cusp…

9. Canadian Beer. Does anything work with hockey better?

10. Rain. It’s been raining here. The smell is wonderful - drowning out the diesel fumes, roadkill and sewage smells that seem to permeate modern city dwelling. Rain good. Keeps people away from my campsite at Dolberg Lake this weekend too!

10(a). The Aristocrats. If you know it - you know.

So there you have 10 good things. I’m happy. I’ve purged.

Canadian beer????? Brew pub specialties yes, that canned s— tastes like something out of the Gorge….Kilkenny, Boddington’s, Guiness all make the game go better. Feeling grumpy and shaky as I took 16 stitches in the right side of my face and it was worse than expected - like it hurt through the freezing so right now, a Canadian beer has absolutely no healing qualities as does a good single malt of spanish brandy. :)(

I’d call a meme tag on someone - by frankly - nobody knows me. If I ever get tagged though - hoo boy… will I ever take part. Don’t know what being tagged means? You’re even less likely to get tagged then me.

:) Come on Chris? Wil? I dare ya.
