Who’s in charge here anyway?

It was a long night – and a short one. I ran home to let the pup-dogs get some people time, while Lin and Ben spent their first night together at the Casa de Grey Nuns.

I arrived to a cooing little baby with a few new scratches (fitting huh?) from his newly hardening fingernails. I also arrived it would seem – to his second (of 5) diaper changes for the next few hours.

MmmmmMmmmaeconium. eeeeyeew.

So small – so helpless, and yet every peep triggers a reflex in his new parents. Lin is working on night two – and at 20 past midnight – I’m looking for a few hours of good sleep tonight to get me back on track to support them both tomorrow.

We’re feeding great, and getting everything we need. Baby is great – momma is recovering well, and dad – well, I couldn’t be prouder.

    The more pics I see of our Grandson the cuter he gets. A wonderful one of Lin and Ben and the little fingers around big hands – precious. Love to you both and a big kiss for your little guy!

    Great shot dude! Don’t stop taking photos, and be sure to get lotsa video time in to. They grow up so dang quick!

    Haha, your experiences becoming a first time parent are going right into my reference file for when that time comes around for me (though the plan is not for a few years yet). Keep writing, keep taking photos, and take good care of your new family :-)

    Btw, according to Bill Cosby you’ll have to really prepare yourself for when the stink really sets into the dirty diapers.
