Yep. It’s home. A KIA sportage now lives in my garage where the Echo used to. No room for car seat in that puppy. More later.

I’m not worthy.

I am so bad.  I couldn’t even write every day for a month.  My respect for columnists has just gone through the roof.   I’m not worthy.  But… I will (even if slightly delayed) get my 30 in…. even if I have to do 3 in a day…

Edmonton Courtroom Drama

Edmonton, Canada - A seven year old boy was at the centre of an Edmonton courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child […]

Why I don’t drive a Honda Civic

Day 9: March 15, 2007
While getting coffee this morning I was hard pressed not to notice the police carsw with their fancy LED lights blazing and flashy yellow police tape wrapped (again) around the Karioke bar on 34th ave and 99st in South Edmonton.
A Honda Civic - with a large exhaust tip was the lone […]

Living history

Day 8: March 14
No really. I’m living history. Three times a day - my clocks (PC / Phone / BB) Switch themselves around - fighting for control of time itself!
Not since 1916 when the British Government enacted the first of the ‘daylight’ savings routines (80 minutes, 20 minutes each sunday for 4 weeks) […]

The tooth has been slated for the bin for some […]

5 months. What exactly does 5 months mean?

5 months is just about how long the darkest part of an Alberta winter lasts.
5 months is long enough to build a new house.
5 months is a whole semester of college.
5 months is enough time to lose 25lbs.
5 […]

Calm before the…

Day 5 of 30: March 11, 2007
I noticed today the stark absence of vehicles in the driveway three houses counter-clockwise from us today.  That can mean only one thing.  Blane and Jodi have finally gotten 12.4 minutes of sustained peace and quiet with their brand new daughter Jaida.
I remember our first few days home.  We […]

Day 4. Stauffer Surprise

Once in a while - the stars align and things go as you planned (even though they didn’t.)
LT and I headed out at 9am for the Red Deer River at Dickson Dam just west of Red Deer Alberta. We decided for a laugh to go via Innisfail and pick up Subway sandwiches along the […]

Day 3. Golden Silence

Today doesn’t feel right. I feel like I turned my back on things…
What is so golden about today? Nothing. I just don’t know what so say…
I need to go play with Ben - and pick up some good vibes again.
