Day 1. What is mortality anyway?

Nothing in the world like a child will remind you of your mortality.

I see a child growing at a phenominal pace, and see the massive changes to his little bod over the course of 5 months and realize – the same 5 months happened to me too.

I’m slower than I was at 20.  I’m bigger.  I’m not quite as healthy.

I did manage (woo hoo) to beat tobacco a year and a half ago, but my general bod didn’t return to the form I had at 16.  Go Figure.

So now – I have to get my lumbering post-nicotine snoring ass off the ground and get some pounds off my back (and chest, and gut).

The hour a day walking starts now and the high-fibre, low-fat diet continues but gains rigor.

Day 1 of 30?  Who thought this was just a blogging excercise?
