Day 9: March 15, 2007
While getting coffee this morning I was hard pressed not to notice the police carsw with their fancy LED lights blazing and flashy yellow police tape wrapped (again) around the Karioke bar on 34th ave and 99st in South Edmonton.
A Honda Civic - with a large exhaust tip was the lone vehicle inside the cordoned off area. Door ajar, windows frosted inside and out. Something dangling out the front seat.
The karioke bar on 34th and 99th has been the scene of at least 1 other murder in the last year, which I also got to see on a morning coffee run. Also a civic.
Either there is a sickness amongst us - someone - who just SNAPS at the sight of Honda Civics near a karioke bar or….. people who are most likely to get gunned down visiting a karioke bar drive them.
Not sure which. I need a government grant for this one.
On a completely unrelated note… I got some writing done last night. Chalk up the first few pages! Woo HOOO.
