On coffee and social media
It was a nice day. Taking my 2 year old Ben with me to meet a friend for coffee turned out to be a very enjoyable venture. I met Brad (@bgrier) at Transcend Coffee on 62nd ave and 99st in South Edmonton.
As we pulled up I was assailed by the toasty smell of freshly baked coffee, and delivered unto the doorway with a gentle snow of husks, baked off the green beans inside.
We popped through the doorway – the 2 year old and I – to find Brad already enjoying a latte by a good spot in the corner.
I ordered a traditional Cappuccino and was blessed with the most wonderful bowl of heaven I’ve ever encountered.
Typically – Cappuccino for me requires a spoon of sugar to fight the often bitter bite of the espresso. In the case of Transcend, the milk became one with the espresso, the foam, one with the milk. Like sipping velvet. Joy in a cup.
Add to this good conversation – as Brad and I chatted SEO / Traditional media and marketing positioned against Social Media and new marketing. I think we’ll be meeting again at Transcend.
How did I find this place? Somehow it’s owner Poul Mark (@transcendcoffee on Twitter) bounced across my Twitter radar. He’s as passionate about coffee as anyone I’ve ever met.
If it’s coffee you’re after – Poul is your man. Visit them at http://www.transcendcoffee.com – you’ll be glad you did.
