Yes I agree with your Dad, Greg, I think both you and Lin are doing a great job and I am very proud of you both. Ben is a wonderful little boy and does remind me of you when you were his age and I can hardly wait for our next "little boy".

No doubt about it, he's super Ben and Sandad and Nana are very proud of your little lad.
You two are to be commended for spending quality time with him and that's one of the reasons that he is so far ahead for a three year old. :)

Way to go -- that's some fine looking meat there. Hem and haw about the shooting and the mess, at the end of the day there is venison in the freezer that you and your family will be enjoying for months to come. That's success that can't be argued.

As a hunter who started as an adult as well, and only a few years experience under my belt, I know where you are coming from. Really, the only thing left to know is that a robust red is the way to go with venison. Try something along the lines of a Fat Bastard, and enjoy in good health!

Good as a reminder to all.. I almost burned an appartment once. I was cooking, when I decided to take off, but thought to leave the burner on low while I was doing last-minute make-up. Last-minute, hey? Being in a hurry and doing too many things at the same time... Got back to knocked-out door, and neighbours venting out my place. And my dinner was charcoal on the lawn, although it was the last on my mind at that time. Good thing my landlord had a positive attitude. I could've been on that lawn too otherwise :S. And I could've left all the other residents there. :S
Great post and notes!
Thanks for the tips.
Stay safe people!
